Trapelo Road/Belmont Street Reconstruction

In conjunction with implementing the Trapelo Road/Belmont Street Corridor Study, the Traffic Advisory Committee (TAC) at the direction of the Board of Selectmen (BOS) have proceeded with formulating plans for the reconstruction of Trapelo Road/Belmont Street.  The goal is to secure federal funding through the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP).

The Traffic Advisory Committee retained the services of the BSC Group as its traffic engineering consultant for this project.  In order to develop a schematic design for the roadway, public meetings were held to obtain public imput.  As a result of these meetings, the BSC Group drafted a design which was reviewed and approved by the Board of Selectmen.  This design has been forwarded to the Massachusetts Highway Department to obtain their approval in order for this project to be placed on the TIP.

As new information is received by this office, it will be placed on the Town's website.

On September 26, 2005, the TAC presented its recommended schematic design for Trapelo Road/Belmont Street to the Board of Selectmen.
