Belmont Public Parks Covid-19 Re-accessing Plan

This will continue to be updated and revised in light of experience and as new State guidelines are issued.
Public health and safety remain our primary concern. In particular, local regulations on social distancing and use of face masks (when 6 feet between individuals cannot be maintained) apply to the parks at all times. Given the continued risk from COVID-19, the Town may need to reconsider closing these facilities if the public does not comply with the requirements set forth below.
In general, walking, jogging, and other passive activities are now permitted in the parks. No pick-up games or contact sports allowed.
Will be open for jogging/running/walking.
No pick-up games or scrimages allowed.
Tennis Courts and Pickleball Courts
No equipment to be left at the courts. All equipment must be carried in and out by those using the court. Those waiting to use a court should wait outside the court area. Please be respectful to one another. No instruction or mechanical ball machines allowed.

Temporary Off-leash hours only for those dogs permitted in the Off-leash program by the recreation department. Hours are from 6:00am - 9:00am (outside of these hours dogs must be leashed).The following locations are the only off -leash parks approved in Town: Grove Park, Pequossette Park, Town Field, Winn Brook. All dog owners must pick up after their dogs.
Please follow proper hand hygene before and after visiting the playgrounds. Maintain proper distancing and avoid use if you are unable to maintain proper distancing. Please adhere to all signage at the playground.
