The Belmont Department of Public Works includes several divisions that provide many services to the Town of Belmont:
ADMINISTRATION: This program provides central administrative services for all fifteen major Public Works programs as detailed in each Division page. These services include policy, planning, administration, budget, capital equipment and projects, contracts, personnel, customer service as well as the allocation and coordination of resources.
On August 12, 2016, the state issued a Drought Warning for Central and Northeast Massachusetts, a Drought Watch for Southeastern Massachusetts and the Connecticut River Valley, and a Drought Advisory for Western Massachusetts. Many customers are unsure what that means for our service area.
While the Quabbin Reservoir remains within normal operating range for this time of year, it is always important to practice water conservation wherever possible, particularly during long dry spells such as this. Here are some links to water saving tips you can share with your customers:
