MBTA and MassDOT to Discuss Waverley Commuter Rail Station at November 16th Board of Selectmen Meeting
On November 16, 2015, the Belmont Board of Selectmen will be holding another public meeting with officials from the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) and Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT). The purpose of the meeting is to provide updated information about the Waverley Commuter Rail Station and potential options to bring the facility into required compliance with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) regulations, the future of the Belmont Center Station and a possible new Belmont Station alternative on Pleasant Street, as well as other alternatives.
This meeting is an opportunity for the public to provide ideas to the MBTA. Any resident or community member who has an interest in this matter is highly encouraged to attend.
The meeting will take place at 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. on Monday, November 16, 2015 at the Beech Street Center, 266 Beech Street.
