Little Free Library Comes to Belmont

Can't make it to the Library as often as you like? No Problem. The Library is coming to you! Through many efforts this fall, and going forward, we at the Library will be making more efforts to bring the Library out into the community. The Belmont Public Library (through the generosity of our Friends of The Library Group) is coming out into Belmont to bring the books to you.

Beginning this week free books are available in a Little Free Library located on the walkway directly in front of Town Hall, along a walkway that leads down to Concord Ave.

The rules for the Little Free Library are very easy to remember. Take a book, it's yours...FOREVER. No need to check out, no need to return, no late fines, no worries. Just a gift for your from the Library. More Little Free Libraries are currently on order. The next will be installed outside of the Beech Street Center, and another in the front lawn of a local resident. Books will be supplied for free by the Friends of The Belmont Public Library, but citizens should feel free to add titles to the Library for others to enjoy.

If you are interested in having a Little Free Library in your neighborhood or in your local business, please reach out to Peter Struzziero at The Belmont Public Library. Special thanks to the Department of Public Works for all the help with the installation.
