The Belmont Police Department’s Assistant Chief James MacIsaac has received the Charles Burke Service to Youth Award as recognition of his outstanding dedication and service to the youth of Belmont. The award is given annually by the Watertown-Belmont Chamber of Commerce as part of their annual awards dinner. In addition to his service with the Belmont Police Department, Assistant Chief MacIsaac is heavily involved with youth sports as well as other community activities. Recently, he was instrumental in forming the Belmont Junior Marauder Football program to give local Middle School kids an opportunity to play organized football before they get to high school. The program has completed two successful seasons to date and has given dozens of kids the opportunity to participate. To offer congratulations on MacIsaac’s award, Governor Charles D. Baker and Lieutenant Governor Karyn E. Polito signed an official Governor’s Citation for him on November 5, 2015.
