Interest Rate on Deferred Taxes is 4.5%

The Board of Assessors is pleased to announce that, effective FY2020, which begins July 1, 2019, the interest rate on taxes being deferred will be charged an interest rate of 4.5%. The Board of Selectmen and the Board of Assessors requested a Warrant Article for Special Town Meeting, for discussion and vote on Tuesday, November 13, 2018, to decrease the interest rate from 8.0% to 4.5%. Town Meeting Members approved the article.
