Tax Payer Fund Donations

Help support Belmont's "Checkoff Funds". Donations are accepted at any time-please make your check payable to "Town of Belmont" and indicate to which fund(s) you are contributing. All contributions are tax-deductible-your cancelled check will be your receipt. Donations can be made online through the following link (Donation). Contributions may also be mailed to:

  • Elderly and Disabled Fund: The Taxation Aid Committee distributes donations received for the Aid to Elderly and Disabled Fund to eligible low-income Seniors by directly offsetting their real estate taxes. Funds received by March 31st are used to offset the tax bills due May 1st    
  • Belmont Senior Center Donation to the Senior Center            
  • Belmont Scholarship Fund: Provides financial assistance to residents of Belmont pursuing higher education. 
  • Capital Endowment Fund: Established to provide funding to facilitate innovations in town government, long-range capital planning, and other capital needs.
  • Belmont Education Fund: Provides funding to supplement current and future needs of our public school system.
  • Glenn Clancy Memorial Tree Fund: Shade tree planting program to beautify Belmont and recognize Glenn Clancy and his forty years of service.

Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to one or more of the check-off funds  (established under MGL ch60 s3C) described above. You may contribute to as many funds as you wish, in any amount ($1 or more). 

Hundreds of Belmontians have made tax-deductible donations to these funds. All contributions are greatly appreciated and help to enhance the quality of life in Belmont. Please contact the Treasurer's office if you have any questions.
