Pet Licensing

To report Town bylaw violations, leash law violations, animal bites, or lost or found pets, email the Animal Control Officer, Susan Trasavage or call (617) 993-2724.

Licensing your pet is one of the most important steps you can take as a responsible pet owner. Having your pet licensed makes it easy for animal control officers, police officers, shelters, and veterinary employees to quickly locate a pet's owner information and to confirm they have current rabies vaccinations. Please remember to pick up after your dog (PDF).

Per the Belmont Bylaw 60-200 (A), no more than three dogs can be licensed at a single address. Owners of four or more dogs in Belmont must apply for a personal kennel license and also license each dog with the Town Clerk's office.
