Welcome to the Belmont Health Department's Food Safety Page!

Our primary mission is to safeguard public health by ensuring all food establishments operating in Belmont meet state and local food safety standards. We achieve this through regular inspections, issuing permits, and providing essential resources and documentation to businesses and residents.

  • Food Permit Applications: Direct access to all necessary downloadable applications and fee schedules for both permanent Food Establishment permits (including Plan Review) and Temporary Food Permits for town events. Food Service Operators & Event Organizers.


  • Food Safety Resources for Food Establishments: Contains the full Merged Food Code and critical operational documents, including reporting requirements, guidance on employee health, and major changes implemented by the 2013 code. Food Service Managers & Employees.
