Membership changes effective Feb. 8, 2011
For membership purposes, a resident family will consist
of 2 adults(parents)and a maximum of their four children.
For families with more than 4 children, there will be
a $10 per child additional fee. Birth certificates will be required for all children
in these instances to prove relationship.
Memberships are non-refundable
Refunds may be given for some programs. Requests for refunds are reviewed when received. Witdrawal fees may apply.
Mission Statement
The Belmont Recreation Department provides an opportunity for each of the Town's residents to participate in a variety of enjoyable activities during their leisure. Department sponsored programs are selected, organized and staffed with the objective of providing appealing programs to satisfy the diverse interest of Belmont residents. The Department provides a comprehensive and balanced recreation program by:
n Offering public recreation programs for all ages.
n Assisting the Town's Department of Public Works in maintaining public playground, recreation areas and facilities.
n Sponsoring special programs and events.
n Assisting community groups in recreation oriented activities.
*All programs are subject to change or cancellation
*The Recreation Commission has ZERO TOLERANCE for misconduct by a participant or parent while at a Recreation Dept. program or facility. Any person who willfully disregards Recreation Commission policy may be removed from the program and/or have their membership privileges revoked.
*Anyone who volunteers with a Recreation Dept. programs MUST have a current CORI background check on file. For a copy of the Department's policy, click here.
