Dear Town Meeting Members,

I want to thank everyone who has shown interest in the Moderator’s Advisory Committee (MAC). As of yesterday, each of the precincts has selected a representative for the MAC:

Precinct 6:       John Bowe

Precinct 7:       Joan Drevins

After checking everyone’s availability, I’m hoping that we can schedule a meeting of the MAC for next week. We will post notices of upcoming meetings on the Town website. All meetings will be public.

I will be looking for the MAC’s advice on any changes to upcoming Town Meetings. I also will be looking for the assistance of the MAC in interviewing potential reappointments and appointments to the Moderator-appointed committees. These committees include the Warrant Committee, the Comprehensive Capital Budget Committee, the Bylaw Review Committee, and all of the building committees.

Lastly, while I will lean on the MAC for advice, any Town Meeting Member or resident is free to contact me at any time with their thoughts and suggestions about committee appointments or Town Meeting.
