In order to faciliate nieghborhood events, the Town of Belmont will approve requests from residents to close public streets. These events are subject to approval by the Town Administrator, Belmont Police, Belmont Fire, and Public Works Departments.
Block party road closures are permitted for four hour period between 9:00 am and 8:00 pm. Please note that certain heavily traveled roads cannot be closed. Also, due to public safety concerns no block party requests will be approved for Halloween (October 31st)
To apply, review and complete the Block Party Request Form. Completed forms along with a $25.00 check payable to the "Town of Belmont" must be submitted to the Town Administration Office a minimum 15 business days prior to your event. If your event is approved you will be notified with a written approval letter and given instructions for using the Town - owned street closure barricades that will be provided to you.
As the Town only has a limited number of road closure barricades requests are approved on a first come - first serve basis.
