Parking Meters Coming to Town

PARKING METERS COMING TO TOWN

Pay-By-License-Plate Parking Stations are being installed in Belmont Center in March 27, 2017, primarily on Leonard Street.  According to a notice from the Town, the new multi-space meters will help increase on-street parking turn-over and availability for shoppers, diners and visitors to Belmont Center. Use of the metered parking allows for 30 minutes free and the ability to pay for up to an additional hour beyond the 30 free minutes; for a total of 90 minutes per day on Leonard Street. The stations will accept cash and credit card payments. Patrons will be required to input their license plate number even if they intend to only take advantage of the 30 minute free period.

Parking in the Claflin Street Municipal Parking lot, located behind Leonard Street offers free two hour parking spaces, as well as metered parking spaces for a dollar per hour. Credit card and cash payments are accepted.
