Board of Selectmen Seek Volunteers for Two New Committees

The Board of Selectmen is seeking qualified residents who would be interested in volunteering for one of two new committees. Both of these new committees are expected to be temporary and will be dissolved upon the completion of their objectives. Details on both are outlined below:

  1. Financial Task Force Implementation Committee will be charged with helping to implement the recommendations of the Financial Task Force Report that was released in January. The final report of the Financial Task Force is available on the Town website here:

  1. Other Post Employment Benefit (OPEB) Study Group will be charged with review of the most recent actuary schedule and making recommendations related to the Town’s OPEB Obligations.

To be considered for either or both of these committees residents are asked to submit a resume and completed Community Volunteer Interest Form to the Office of the Board of Selectmen. Community Volunteer Forms can be obtained at the Selectmen’s Office or downloaded from the Town website; www.belmont-ma.gov.
