Recreation in Belmont
Belmont provides its residents with numerous recreation facilities throughout the town including playgrounds, outdoor tennis courts, indoor and outdoor pools, field house and fitness room at Belmont High School, ball fields and a skating rink. Programs are offered year round for Belmont families.
Payson Park Music Festival
This program, sponsored in part by the Recreation Department offers a wide variety of entertainment for all ages throughout the summer months.
Beaver Brook Reservation
The biggest recreation area is Beaver Brook Reservation (run by the Massachusetts Dept. of Conservation and Recreation). It is about 60 acres on the Waltham line where Trapelo Rd meets Mill St (near Waverley). Activities include hiking, playground, cross-country skiing, fishing, picnic area. There's a "spray pool" area for the smaller kids to cool off in the summer.
