Please remember that this class is designed with 30 minutes of instruction and 10 minutes at the end of class for individuals to practice or ask for extra help.
Requirements:
HELMETS MUST BE WORN DURING THESE LESSONS, FACE PROTECTION IS RECOMMENDED. SINGLE BLADE SKATES ONLY.
Skates should be a size smaller than shoe size as bigger skates hinder progress. It is recommended that you purchase form a good sporting goods shop to insure proper fit. Do not have the picks shaved off. Only one pair of light socks should be worn.
When lacing skates, remember they should be comfortable to snug through the toe area, snug over the arch and up the leg and tight through the ankle. You should be able to insert one finger down the side top of the boot when laced.
Hats, mittens and jackets should be worn during the lesson, and helmets should be labeled front and back with the child's name so that it can be seen easily by the coach.
Meeting these requirements will offer a safe and enjoyable environment for participants. Thank you.
