BMLD Weekly Update - Week of February 20th
Save money on Smart Strips through BMLD
Belmont Municipal Light Department customers are eligible to receive an instant energy efficiency rebate of $10 on an advanced power strip (also referred to as energy-saving surge protectors). These strips allow you to automatically control the power to some devices based on whether a primary device is on or off. (For example, plug items such as a DVR or cable box into the "always-on" sockets, a television into the "master socket", and the sound system, VCR, and game console into the controlled sockets. When the television is off, power will be automatically cut to the controlled sockets and restored when the television is turned back on.)
Customers may order BITS Smart Strips, TrickleStar, TrickleStrips and Smart PowerTap, and is limited to four (4) advanced power strips per household.
