TOWN OF BELMONT
ACCOUNTING DEPARTMENT
PART TIME (21 Hours per Week)
ACCOUNT PAYABLE SPECIALIST


The specialist, reporting directly to the Town Accountant, will perform weekly accounts payable duties including the processing, reviewing for accuracy and compliance, of all invoices for the Town, School and Light Departments, and enters data in computer.
Gathers remittances and matches with checks.  Researches status of accounts payable checks for customers, vendors or Town officials.  Responds to inquiries from departments regarding their purchase requisitions and paid invoices.  Prints system generated revenue and expenditure reports as requested. Assists in vendor data collection for 1099s and other State and Federal reports. Prepare department’s weekly time sheets and provide backup to audit timesheets.

High school diploma or equivalent with one year of vocational/technical training in computerized accounting operations with two years of accounts payable processing experience or an  Associate degree in Accounting with one year or more of accounts payable experience or equivalent combination. Experience and proficiency with Munis Accounting system preferred.

The salary range is $17.5988 to $21.1198 and is benefit eligible.

TOWN OF BELMONT
POLICE DEPARTMENT
RESERVE CROSSING GUARD

The Town is currently seeking 2 individuals to be on call as a Reserve Crossing Guard. Would need to be available, as needed, from September thru June, school day mornings and afternoons. Will monitor vehicle and pedestrian traffic to escort pedestrians across roadways insuring safe passage, direct traffic and provide directions to motorists and pedestrians.
A High School diploma or equivalent is required, as well as experience working with children, and the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and motorists.  Subject to a satisfactory CORI check.
The starting pay is $10.92 per hour, and does not include benefits.
