The Human Resources Department coordinates the employment process for all job openings in the Town government, not including the School Department. Vacant positions are posted in the Belmont Citizen-Herald and surrounding community newspapers, as well as
BostonWorks/Monster.com. as they become available to the public. This department is located on the third floor of the Town Hall and is open between the hours of 8:00 A.M. - 4:00 P.M. The phone number is 617-993-2740. With the exception of Police and Fire services, the Town is not subject to the provisions of the Massachusetts Civil Service system.
