	The Council on Aging is a permanent board appointed by the Selectmen to provide ongoing services to the Belmont senior community in the areas of nutrition, health and fitness, transportation, social services, in-home services, legal and financial counseling, and volunteer tax preparation assistance. The Council on Aging operates a Senior Center located in Belmont. The Council on Aging also exists as a town department. More information on the Council is available on the departmental page.
